Mr. Long is chairman, chief executive officer, and co-founder of Premier Wireless, Inc., a provider of wireless audio, video, and data communications equipment for commercial, industrial, and broadcast use to clients in the CCTV, military, and law enforcement markets.  He stepped away from day-to-day responsibilities at Premier in May 2013.

Previously, Mr. Long served as president of Dynatech Spectrum, a manufacturer of wireless video transmitters and receivers sold primarily to the personal security market; vice president of engineering at Dynatech Microwave Technology, a manufacturer of switches used in aerospace and defense technology; and president and chief executive officer of American Microwave Technology, a manufacturer of solid-state broadband RF amplifiers used by the scientific and medical markets. 

Mr. Long earned an AB in physics from the University of Chicago in 1975 and has completed graduate work at the University of California, Los Angeles and at Stanford University.  He is a trustee of the Mt. Wilson Institute and a member of the University of Chicago’s Physical Sciences Division Visiting Committee, which helps create entrepreneurial approaches to the technologies being developed at the University of Chicago.  He is also a board member of the University of Chicago’s Alumni Club of Los Angeles and a member of the Adaptive Business Leaders Organization.
